Its about life and love and why

About

Apparently this is where I’m supposed to tell you about me. I guess I can do that.

My name is Joshua Abram Linscott. I was born and raised in Maine by Scott (Donald) and Robin Linscott. I’m proud to be a part of a loving family that includes a little sister and brother. As we’ve grown up we’ve branched out but never grown apart.

I currently reside in Manhattan where I’m part of a PhD program in Pharmacology at the Weill Cornell Medical College. Explaining what that means is sort of tough some times. I won’t be a pharmacist, I won’t be and MD, and I’ll never work in the medical side of a hospital. What I would like to do is discover and develop drugs that will improve the way we treat sick people. The average time to finish the degree is 5.5 years, so I’m still on the front half of the process.

Besides research I like to pretend I can still do some other things. I’m a former athlete. I had a 16 year career as a baseball player, one that brought many friends and endless memories. I love music. Listening, playing, and writing. I’ve accepted the fact that I’m a full fledged nerd and accepted everything that accompanies that title, both good and humiliating. I follow Christ. That often means I’m called a Christian, but that can come with some negative connotations sometimes that are better avoided. Don’t worry I’m not here to condemn you, but if you ever had questions I’d be more than happy to talk about it. You’ll see a significant amount of my opinions in my writings whether you like it or not 🙂

I’m writing this blog because I’m not always good at sharing what is happening in my life. Even with the people I love. So here’s a chance for you to get inside my mind, and my to attempt to clear it out.
